A community grown

One story you'll hear from residents of the Ferrier Estate, is that there was always a sense of community. Everyone knew everyone. Neighbours would come over for meals, kids would stay at their friends for the night, families played together in the street.

But this community was often cut off from those around it. Urban myths kept taxi drivers away and those from surrounding neighborhoods walked to stations further away.

As part of the transformation, from Ferrier Estate to Kidbrooke Village, Berkeley Homes wanted to tear down those barrier and ensure the community could thrive. Over the last 10 years of development Kidbrooke has seen residents and locals grow together.

Community events see residents from all over Kidbrooke Village alongside locals from nearby Eltham and Blackheath getting involved.

We've captured stories of the community, as part of our 10th Year celebrations.
